The Face Behind bFit: Bryley Rodriguez

Here at The Better Blog, we are all about self-growth & inspiring people to become the greatest versions of themselves. This week on the blog, I am introducing an admirable friend of mine & rising woman entrepreneur, Bryley Rodriguez. Bryley is the owner of bFit, an online fitness program dedicated to helping anyone achieve the health goals that they desire. On her Instagram, @bryrod_fitess, Bryley also shares all things fitness & motivation, so make sure to check it out & give her a follow! You can message her there at anytime to inquire about bFit.

Tell us about yourself.

“I am 23 years old from Cankton, Louisiana and just recently moved to Breaux Bridge. I am a full time Nursing student who uses the gym as a coping mechanism to stay sane while stressing over nursing school.”

Bryley grew up playing sports and continued to play while in college so staying in shape was never something that she struggled with, until her softball career ended. After finally having enough of being uncomfortable in her own skin, she decided to change it. About two and a half years into her fitness journey, Bryley fell in love with the gym and all things fitness. “Once I started gaining knowledge and started making progress and seeing results from the work put in, I was immediately hooked,” said Bryley, “I had family and friends, and even strangers at the gym approach me for tips and advice, and I loved being able to answer all of their questions.” This led her to start her online fitness program, bFit.

Why did you start bFit?

“I know how hard it is to first start out- figuring out what and how much to eat, and don’t even get me started on the gym anxiety. I chose to start this program to help each person start their journey. The program offers individualized meal plans, workout plans, and 24/7 accountability- all the things I wish I had when I first started out.”

Bryley hopes to get her program out there in the future and be able to help any and everyone who wants to start their fitness journey.

There is no shame in asking for help. Every successful person that you see and look up to has been in your shoes, and they have chosen the path of discipline and dedication.

What is a day like in your life?

“A day in my life can be a little crazy with being a full-time student and having a part-time job, along with managing a new fitness program.” With doing all of this, Bryley still makes sure to always get a good workout in, she says. “A normal day is waking up at 5 a.m followed by breakfast and coffee, then you can find me either at work or school. Next is gym time (favorite part of the day), then it’s a nightly routine of checking in with clients and getting some studying done.”

With being constantly busy, Bryley says that she sometimes struggles to find balance between it all, while making time for family and friends. “That is something I have been successfully working on.” She has been using lists and planners religiously, to make sure to stay on track and get things done.

Finding that balance can be hard, but it is important that you have people who support you and understand you. Your surroundings are such a big component in your life.

What is your favorite quote & why?

"Failing to prepare is preparing to fail." – Benjamin Franklin

Bryley says she loves this quote because if you have no set plan or goals, what are you working towards? If there is no plan, how do you know where to go next? She enjoys having a plan and setting goals for herself.

What keeps you going everyday?

“The sky is never the limit, it keeps me going. Future me is what keeps me going every day because it is someone I strive to be, which is successful. I want to be able to look back at past me and know that I did what I did. I hope I can inspire others to strive for better in their futures. People should always want the best for themselves,” she says.

No one is selfish for wanting what is best for THEM and THEIR life.

Favorite gym hype-song?

“LONDON BRIDGE BY FERGIE ALL THE WAY. Something about jamming this song gets me hyped and ready to get a good lift in. I love a good glute day, everyone loves a good booty.”

Bryley expressed that she found common ground in The Better Blog’s post on blocking out comparisons. As we all do, she says she can scroll through all the fitness influencers she follows and constantly compare her progress to theirs, but what good does that do? She finally came to realize that everyone's journey is different. “I’m comparing their 5-year progress to my 5-week progress. By blocking the comparison, I can focus on my future and what I have to look forward to if I keep sticking to my plan.” This is so important for self growth because everyone’s plan and how to get there is different.

Final message to others who afraid to start.

“A message I love to tell people is something that I came across when starting my journey and has always stuck- turn your one day into day one. Stop putting it off and waiting for Monday or the first of the year. So what if it is a Tuesday, start now, start TODAY, just start. You are going to be glad you did.”

Seeing Bryley’s dedication to not only herself, but to her future is so refreshing. Taking care of yourself will consist of days that are challenging and days that are rewarding. There will never be the right day, the perfect day, or the best day to start, you just have to choose which day you want to start crushing it. You will never see good progress in your life if you don’t START and KEEP GOING.

It was with such pleasure having Bryley on The Better Blog to talk about her journey. I hope you all can find that strength like she did, to get started on working for YOU and ONLY YOU. Work for today, work for tomorrow, work for your future.
